Arianne hanging out with the family.
Every year we have an Isom family reunion and do
it the same weekend as Peach Days in Hurricane. So
quite often everybody takes of for an hour or two that
direction.
Aunt Camilla hosted this year and it was a lot of fun.

Batism and Lilly's birthday

The day finally came! Jonah's baptism. His Birthday is in May, but because Andrew
would be in Manti for the first Saturday of June I asked him if he wanted to wait untilAndrew got back to be baptized. He grudgingly said yes. I thought it was really good of him considering a few months before he was crying because he was the only, besides Lilly, who hadn't been baptized. So proud of you Bug!
This is a picture of Lilly eating her
special birthday cupcake at a combined
party for her and Zane Pipkin.

Lilly woke up to her presents. Here is
her sleeping bag.

She's wearing her new shirt here.
And here are some of her other presents.
Do you see a prevalent theme?

Summer Vacation 2011

Because Blogger has changed for the worse this pic
is out of order, but here is a pic of us at Newspaper
Rock.
Manti, UT temple
I just thought this was a cool picture. It's a tree that
grows at the entrance of the cracks on the Red Hill.
Jonah and Akira.
Jeremy on the Red Hill.
Andrew and Lilly.
Lilly and I like the view of SG I got.
The fort.
This bug is loud and obnoxious. It was found after
harrasing us the night before.
Andrew caught this horny toad. Lilly loved it!

Andrew thought the bug would be tasty.
Mesa Verde pics.

Dead Horse Point pics.

Newspaper Rock pics.

Petting Zoo.

This summer we started our family vacation by
picking up Andrew from Manti where he participated
in the Manti Pageant. He stayed with our friends
the Roundy's for a month. It was a faith building
experience for him and he can not wait to do it
next year. Unfortunatly, the pics didn't turn out.
He brought his friend Josh Roundy with us as we
continued on to Monticello, Utah. We camped up
on Monticello Mtn (I think that's what it's called).
The Andrew and Josh made this awesome fort and spent
a couple of nights in it. Monticello is close to
many state and national parks. Moab is about an
hour north and there are many parks near there
and we were only a couple of hours away from
Mesa Verde in Colorado. Here are some pics of us
as we checked out some of the awesome dwellings. It
is reported there are over 100 dwellings in the area.
I can't wait to explore more of it. This is one park
I wouldn't recommend with little ones like Lilly.
Many of the trails are not stroller friendly and the
walks are longer then some little legs like.
We also had the opportunity to go to Dead Horse Point.
And Newspaper Rock too. The weather wasn't the best
that weekend so we ended up spending a couple of
nights at Mundy's cousins' house and we didn't get
to check out some places we wanted to like
Canyonlands, but since we will be moving to the
area, I'm sure we'll get a chance to do more
exploring. We also checked out what they had
at Hole in the Rock. This is where a 2000+ sq ft
house was built into the rock. We were going to
do the tour til we realized how much it would cost to
to it so we checked out the petting zoo insted which
almost cost as much. Total tourist trap, but I think
the kids enjoyed it more then they would have in the
rock. Unfortunatly, we weren't able to get many pics
since our batteries died there.
This visit became
the catalyst for our move. What was an idea managed
to turn into a full blown change! More on that later.
For the finale here is a video of an experiment to cook
and eat cactus. Yumm! So gooey and gummy I just couldn't
get myself to try here are a couple of the brave souls who did:

Outings and other random pics through June.

Jeremy, Jonah, Lilly and I went to visit Scott,
Aunt Cindy, Anne, Will and their families up
on Pine Valley. Here are Kody and Mykenna
chilling as we sat around and talked.

Will and Scott. I think this was Memorial Day
weekend??..?

Another kid that finds sticks in the great
outdoors. My boys, including Mundy, have
always collected them on outings.

Justin, Jonah and Jeremy having fun.

Rosie, Aunt Cindy, and Will.

We went up to place that has hieroglyphics.
They also had some really cool rock formations.
Jonah and Jeremy had a blast with these
little cubbies as you can see.
Mom and Dad came with us.
Grandpa with his grandkids.
Jonah is very photogenic when he wants to be.
This is about as photogenic as Jeremy likes to be.
He's such a goof sometimes! Andrew wasn't with
us because two days after school got out he went
to Manti for a month to participate in the Manti
pageant.
Mundy actually had the day off to come with us.
Here are two very tired girls.
My sister-in-law Megan.
My bro and sis-in-law.
My Dad.
Andrew getting way too tall!
The boys chilling and watching a movie!
