I'll start with the first day of school and go on from there. Jonah(5) just started Kindergarten and is liking it so far. He's not quite as enthusiastic about going as he was when he was in HeadStart. His personality has changed quite a bit in the last few months. He turning into a hyper kid (and just when Jeremy starts calming down...go figure). He loves to sing, read, play with friends and his brother. He likes sharks (like big brother Jeremy), sea turtles and Whinnie the Pooh. He's been quite the character of late. Last week I took the boys to the school behind our house so they could burn off the energy the popsicles gave them and he sat on the slide saying, "Use Strength" over and over. I asked where he got that and he said, "a boy". I asked who the boy was and he said, " he won't tell me his name". Later that evening as we were gathering for family prayer he was kneeling at the coffee table and started chanting in this falsetto voice "I am a lovely boy". I was trying not to crack up too much and Mundy wasn't sure what to think.
I also have to mention that I let the boys do their hair however they want as long as it doesn't cause a disruption in school. Jonah has never been a problem that way because his favorite way to get his hair done (and he has to do it himself and gets mad at me when I fix the back) is just like we do it for church. He thinks he looks best that way.

This picture is a little fuzzy because I had yet to learn the proper way to use our new camera. I think I finally figured it out so hopefully there won't be anymore pictures like this. Jeremy(7) is my spaz boy. If any of you have been around him long enough you would see why, especially after he ingests any amount of sugar. He loves to have fun, if you try to do something that doesn't fit that definition you have a fight on your hands. Now that he is getting older he is beginning to understand that some things in this life just aren't much fun but are still important. His favorite things are sharks, friends, sharks, video games, and oh did I mention sharks? Now Jeremy's hair is another thing all together. He thinks he doesn't look cool unless his hair is done and being cool is very important to Jeremy. He likes it all kinds of ways as long as at least part of it is sticking up in the air. One day at school last year he looked like a triceratops might have. He had to "horns" off to each side and one in the back. Why didn't I get a picture that day?

Andrew(9) is getting so big, actually they all are. I can't believe he just started his second to last year of elementary. Where does the time go? I remember when he was in Kindergarten and I was helping him learn to read. Andrew is the epitomy of the oldest child. He's responsible, helpful, bossy and always right. Just ask him! He's very intellegent, as are his brothers, and can accomplish anything when he wants to. Andrew is amazingly spiritual for a nine year old and helps all of us to remember who we are and reminds us to do our best. He loves soccer, hanging with friends, scouts (well he does have the coolest Bear Den Leaders{us!}) video games, camping, science experiments.... The list goes on and on. He always ready to try something new and loves to learn. As for his hair prefrences Mundy and I strongly believe in allowing them to do what they want with their hair, hence the mohawk. We believe that this helps them gain a sense of self and individuality that will help them as they get older. We want them to be comfortable with themselves no matter what their hair looks like or what kind of clothes they wear. So on the first day of school I let him wear a mohawk as long as it was not a disruption in class. He came after school saying it wasn't a disruption in class but the principle had said it was against the rules. Bummer I guess he'll have to wait until crazy hair day comes around.
