Easter 2012

For Easter we took a drive in the direction of Canyonlands and took a road that took us north before we got to Canyonlands.  We did an Easter egg hunt and did a weenie roast.  The Pipkins were kind enough to invite us on their yearly tradition.
Mundy took pics from up on a small cliff and to the rear of the direction that everyone was headed so you get a rear view.  From top to bottom you starting with the pink shirt is Jordan, Jeremy, Fritz, Vera and Lilly, Manike (left) Brad, Avery, and Sarah.

Here is Andrew, Jordan, Jaime, and Fritz.

From left to right Brad, Manike, Sarah, Avery and Fritz.

Here is a gaggle of kids trying to find the hidden Easter eggs.

Lilly had a blast looking for eggs.  She would get so excited.

Jordan helped to keep the little Lilly and Carolina busy while the eggs were being hidden.

Here is Fritz Sr. and Barbara.  They are Mundy's aunt and uncle.

Here is Brad and Manike.

This is part of the view of where we were at.  We drove for a long time, over an hour, on dirt roads to get to this location.  There was some pretty neat sites along the drive.

Jaime and Andrew killing time while the eggs are being hidden.

Fritz and Sarah.

Here are the sand dunes the kids got to play on.  They reminded me a lot of southern utah.

Jeremy.

Jonah, ever the ham, and Lilly.

Here is all particpants of the Easter egg hunt with their bag of goodies.  Good times!!!

We also did an Easter Egg hunt at our home with my boys and Carolina.  They thought it was pretty fun.

Here is Carolina looking for eggs with her mama's help.

Here are the kids with their basket of goodies.  The boys love having ownership over their own snacks such as chips and sunflower seeds.  Plus that means I get to buy less candy!  ;)  I don't know that they've caught on to that yet!

Here are the kids coloring eggs. I used to love doing this and my kids love it too.  It's fun to see what  designs they come up with.
Lilly having a blast holding one of her creations.  And down below are some of the finished works of art.
