A month gone by!!!

Here is my baby in her blessing
dress! I can't believe we've
already done this! Time moves
so quickly when you are having
fun ( and when you don't sleep
as well!). Lilly was blessed on
August 2nd. It was great. Mundy
was so nervous in the days leading
up to it, but he gave a wonderful
blessing. I couldn't even tell he
was nervous until he cut the

blessing a little short. It was
nice, we had our friends the
Roundy's there. As well as my
mom and dad, Daniel and
Megan, Mundy's brother
Scott his wife Heather and
their daughter Mykenna and
my cousin Richard & his wife

Annalise and their family.
Here is my girl in her bouncer
the next picture was of her
crying. She gets bored some-
times and lets us know it!

Here she is doing tummy
time. It has really helped
her to strengthen her neck
muscles which you can really
see when she's on her stomach
or when you are burping her
over your shoulder. At a little
after two weeks she also showed

us how she could roll over onto
her back. She's not much for
being on her stomach. This
picture is to show her scowl
which she often has on her
face. It's so cute! The next
picture is of her in her dress

the first day she went to
church. I was missing it and
so we just attended sacrament
meeting. Isn't she a doll?
She is ahead of herself in a
few areas. As I mentioned
she rolls over, she can also
roll from her back to her side.
From the first day she smiled. She also chuckles, usually
when she's half asleep. In her 3rd week I had her on the
bed with me while I visited with my mom and Aunt
Camilla and Mundy came in and started talking to Lilly.
She was facing my aunt Camilla and she turned her head
toward him after he started talking to her. She does this
often now. I love her bright eyes they seem so alert.
Another cute thing she does is when you put a binki
in her mouth she will often grab onto your arm or hand
with her hands. It is so cute. I can't believe how much
I love her. She is the light in my life. She has brought
much love into our home and all the boys love her, even
if they won't admit it verbally. She now weighs 9.5 lbs.
I'm not sure how long she is, but I do know I've had to
loosen her carseat straps once already and she's close
to outgrowing her newborn clothes. My baby is getting
so big. I've played with a lot of nicknames for her such
as Lil' Lilly & princess, but have landed on using punkin.
It just seems to fit unless she's screaming then I call her
fuss bucket. Interestingly, when my dad heard me call
her that he asked me where I got that. I told him I didn't
know. He said he used to call me that when I was a baby.
I wonder if I subconsciously remembered that. Do you
think it's possible?

A few more pictures of Lilly

This picture I caught
Lilly in the middle of a
yawn. This onsie is the
first piece of clothing
I put on her that acutally
fit!
The next picture is of
Jonah and his cousin
Justin. Justin is about

2 months younger then
Jonah. He has a baby
sister on the way and Paige
will be about 2 months
younger then Lilly. I thought
it interesting how that
worked out!

This picture is the first time
we could get Daniel to hold
Lilly. It only lasted a couple
of minutes. My brother was
pretty funny because he
never wanted to feel Lilly
moving when I was pregnant.
He wanted to wait until Megan
is pregnant (probably later
rather then sooner). I'm glad he finally plucked up the
courage to hold his niece.
We are both doing well. Lilly is putting on the ounces
since she became a little piggy. She is such a vital part
of my life now and I thank Him every day for allowing
me to have this precious child in my life.

Weight

When we took Lilly Ann for a check up on Monday she had gone from her birth weight of 7lbs 15oz down to 7 lbs 2oz. The doctor was a bit worried about that and said if we couldn't get her weight up this week he would like to see her diet get supplemented with formula. We really want her to be a breastfed baby and have done all we can to ensure that it happens that way. We thought maybe the reason for the weight loss might have been because my milk didn't come in until Sunday. It really has made a difference this week because this morning when we took her in she was up 7lbs and 6oz. We were very excited because now we won't have to supplement!

I also want to take a minute and tell all of you how much I love and appreciate you all. Your love, support, well wishes and gifts have been overwhelming! I am so grateful to have the family and friends that I have and hope you know how much we love you all! Thank you!

Introducing Lilly Ann!!!!

Here is the first pic of
Lilly Ann she is on my
stomach here and mew-
ling. She didn't come
out screaming instead
she was so quiet it really
kind of worried us! This
next picture is of her being
cleaned up more and on

the scale. You can actually
see her weight. They round
it up to 15 oz. As you can
she is totally mellow. She
actually didn't really start
to scream until her bath.
She doesn't like to be naked
and wet, imagine that! Here

is a picture of the proud
papa. He is wrapped
around her finger already!
One thing that has been
very helpful is that he can
calm her down like no
one else. She just wants
the food kind of comfort
from me so it is nice to be able to

hand her to him and have
her calm down. I really
have to be grateful he has
this time here with us to
help the family with this
new adjustment. This is
the first time Jonah held
Lilly. He was pretty
excited about it. He didn't
come earlier with Camilla
and Jeremy because he
was too worried that he
wouldn't be able to spend
another night at grandma's
and grandpa's house. All
my kids love to be over
there. Mom and dad do to

but I think my dad is also
glad when they come home.
They have so much energy.
I really appreciate him
watching Jonah and Jeremy
for a couple of nights while
I was at the hospital though.
It was a relief to know they
were taken care of. We hadn't
expected to have them with
us, but Annie offered to let us
do our three week time with
them so they could spend some
time with Lilly and all the
family that came down to
visit us. I thought that was
very kind and thoughtful of her.

Our friends the Roundy's are
down here staying at a condo
and Andrew stayed with them
for the nights we were at the
hospital. It really worked out
to have them here and I think
it was good for them too. They
have been able to see for them-
selves that Lilly is not the
terror they believed her to be. Only that she is tiny and small
and helpless. They all love to hold her. Jeremy said some-
thing like, "Mom, Lilly is not so bad" I said, "is that a bad
thing?" and he told me no. Andrew sad to Camilla once
before he wanted to hold her, "ok I admit I like Lilly!" It
was pretty cute. He's the one that has had the hardest
time with the fact we've been having a girl, but they all
have come to love her and always want to be around her. I'm
so glad they have all adjusted so well so quickly.
Oh before I forget she was 20" tall. Everything was good
on the apgar(?) test, but we're not sure what it the number
was. After 23 hours of labor, approximately 90 min. of
pushing in that number, Lilly was born at 8:39am July 3rd.
We all love her so much, and I don't really remember life
before her. That probably sounds odd, but my life is so
consumed with her at this point it really feels that way.

My toenails

I've been wanting
to get my toe nails
painted for a while
and especially get
them done before
I deliver, and then
Mundy hurt his arm
so he couldn't really
do it for me.
Then one of the kids
started going on about
wanting to do them
and I knew what the
result would be,but
thought it would be
fun for them and
something for me
to be able to concen-
trate on during labor.
Jeremy did 4 all blue
on my right foot. Jonah
did my the next three
a pearl, purple, and
red. Andrew did the last
three on my left foot
green, red, and maroon.

Crazy, but you would
be surprised at how
excited they were to
be able to paint them.
Then the boys were
wanting to do their
own nails. Mundy
wasn't to keen on
that. Luckily Mundy
was able to help me clean them up a little as some
of my toes had more polish on the skin then the
nail.

Labor (or lack there of) update

Well just to let you know, Lilly is not co-operating with the whole coming on Saturday thing. Which is a disappointment for more then one reason. I tried all kinds of things yesterday and it doesn't seemed to have worked at all! I'm feeling very ready and very frustrated and very whiney!

Less then two weeks!

Finally I'm getting
this picture posted!
It will probably be
the last one as we
are less then 2 weeks
away from the due date.
I've been told I've grown
in the last month or so.
Don't forget to check out the posts before this one.
Our memory card is going bad and so Mundy had to
download the pictures. Enjoy!

Andrew and Grandma Dutton's birthday!

We went to Hatch
Memorial Day
Weekend to celebrate
Andrew's and Grandma's
birthdays. Andrew was
born the day before
Grandma. Aunt Christy
(sorry if I spelled that
wrong) wanted to make

each of them their own
cake so Jonah, Jeremy,
cousin Justin, and cousin
Marci all helped to decorate
them. Andrew didn't want
to help because he wanted
his cake to be a surprise.
We let him open his
present from us early so that

he could use it while we
were up there. He got a
Daisy bb gun. He was
very excited about it. Dad
made him read the whole
booklet they send with it on
safety before he could even
use it, but said that he was
a pretty good shot once he

used it. I wasn't able to get
picture of Andrew blowing
out his candles as we were
in the trailor so the wind
wouldn't blow them out.
We had about 10 kids and
some adults in there to sing
so I couldn't move around
to where I could get a shot.
Happy Birthday and watch Grandma and Andrew blow
out their candles. I was able to get one of Grandma though.
All in all we had a fun weekend with the family.

slip-n-slide

The boys had been
dying to play with
the slip-n-slide
Andrew got for days,
but with a trip to Hatch
going on they didn't get
to play with it until the
day they left for their
mother's house for 3 weeks.
They had a blast playing on
it and it was fun to watch
them. Andrew had us rating
his tricks on a scale of one to
ten.
They come back on Wednesday
We can't wait. Three weeks
is a long time!

update

Okay I know you guys want a pic and I think about it a lot, just haven't done it. I'll try and get at least one more before she comes. Things have been pretty hectic lately and yet not, if that makes sense. My appt with the doc on Thursday showed that I'm at a 1 for the 3rd week in a row, but that my cervix is softening. Since then I've had a lot more contractions and/or cramps. We are doing all we can to see if we can have her on the 27th so if any of you have any suggestions,I'm open to them!
