Pine wood Derby 2012

This pinewood Derby was a little crazy because we got the cars 1 week before the event.  Mundy had to scramble to get the cars race ready and obviously didn't have the time to help do fancy ones like he does sometimes.

This is one of Jonah's races.  He didn't place but had fun.  I didn't get to stick around to see the whole event because Lilly was all over the place and wouldn't listen so I decided to take her home.

Here is Jeremy in one of his races. He didn't place either.  They love to particpate and enjoy the company of the peers so they don't go away upset.

Trip back to Southern Utah

This is something my dad did with my siblings and I.  It brings back some fun memories.  Now my kids as well as my nephews love this too.  Some of the boys are going to be to big for it before long though.

Mundy got some pics of the kids as well as the other adults getting pics.  I was still not feeling good at this point.  Thankfully Mundy helped out with pics are there wouldn't be any to post.



This trip was rough for me.  I did something to hurt my back pretty bad before we left and my dad decided to try and help by giving me a muscle relaxer.  I was tired of hurting and agreed.  It was too strong for me and made me sick on top of my back hurting.  I was feeling so sick that I wasn't able to make it to my nephew's baby blessing.  I was pretty bummed about that.  I think I will avoid those pills in the future if possible.

Here is my nephew Rylee.  He's growing up so quickly too.

Got a couple pics of my siblings and Amanda's fiance Jammie.  Poor guy wasn't doing so hot either.  He accidently burned his eyes doing some welding and wore shades to make things a little easier.

Love this picture.  My nephew was so little here.  In some pics I post in the near future you will be amazed at how big he is getting.  I call him Chubbers.  :)

I didn't get as many pics as I had wished for in SG.  But I got one and Mykenna got the other of these two girls chilling.  Lilly loves her Mykenna and we all miss her and Scott and Heather.

Easter 2012

For Easter we took a drive in the direction of Canyonlands and took a road that took us north before we got to Canyonlands.  We did an Easter egg hunt and did a weenie roast.  The Pipkins were kind enough to invite us on their yearly tradition.

Mundy took pics from up on a small cliff and to the rear of the direction that everyone was headed so you get a rear view.  From top to bottom you starting with the pink shirt is Jordan, Jeremy, Fritz, Vera and Lilly, Manike (left) Brad, Avery, and Sarah.

This is part of the view of where we were at.  We drove for a long time, over an hour, on dirt roads to get to this location.  There was some pretty neat sites along the drive.

Here are the kids with their basket of goodies.  The boys love having ownership over their own snacks such as chips and sunflower seeds.  Plus that means I get to buy less candy!  ;)  I don't know that they've caught on to that yet!

Wood

This is as big a load as we can get.  It's half a cord but because our truck is so small this is all we can get at a time.  Our goal is to buy a truck big enough to get a normal size load as well as fit us all in the same vehicle for exploring as well as getting wood.  Cutting wood and using a stove is new for me, but luckily Mundy has had experience with it.  I'm learning to build good fires as is Andrew.

Random kid pics early 2012

Jeremy building a snowman.  This is a little bit of the snow we saw.  We had a pretty dry winter considering what we usually get.

Jonah always a ham for the camera. He's decided he's already sick of the snow. I wonder how he will feel if we get more snow this year.  I guess we will see.

Just a funny shot.  The boys and Lilly enjoy having sleep overs.  This was before we got Lilly's bedroom set up.  She started out on her crib matress on the floor.  Since then we've painted a bunk bed and gotten a cute bed set.  I'll try to remember to post a pic later of it.

These balloons are part of what I got from Mundy on Valentines Day.  Lilly had a lot of fun with them.
