Help!

All you bloggers out there. How is the best way to deal with
verticle shots? Everytime I put on on my blog it's causes
major problems in how it appears on the page and I can't
seem to figure out to fix them the way I want to. Suggestions???

Jeremy's first and Andrew's last Derby

Here are the boys'
cars this year. Jeremy,
ever into sharks,
decided he wanted a
hammerhead shark.
Andrew went for the
sleek and fast style.

Here is Andrew with his
before the races began.
This was his last year
to participate so he was
hoping to take first place.
He'd done so the year
before and hopes were
high. But mostly he was
just very excited.

Here is Jeremy with his car.
He's so excited for this race
as it's his first year in the
pine wood Derby. He was
a little nervous too because
he had broken off half the
hammerhead in his excitment
to start sanding without dad
around. Luckily dad was able
to fix it. Although he did break
it again after the races were
over.

Jeremy was so very excited
as he made first place out of
everybody. It's kind of dis-
appointing that our ward didn't
get the derby done earlier in
the year because he could
have gone to the Scout Expo

and raced against the other
winners. I'm curious how he
would have done. Andrew
took second. He won the
first race he was in and then
one race against Jeremy.
He was pretty excited too.
Admittedly, Mundy did help
them quite a bit with their cars.
He's not comfortable with handing them a dremal. He knew
of a kid that cut a finger off with one once so he's waiting until
they get older before he will let them attempt that. And we
procrastinated a little bit on getting them started and then
found out a week before when the race was going to be and
the boys' were at their mom's that weekend so Mundy got
nearly everything ready and they helped with the final sanding
and painting the last couple of evenings before the races.
All in all they had fun!

Easter 2010

Easter! I'm finally
getting this one done.
There is alway so
much to do and so
little time I find it
easy to put off the blog.
Well today is catch up
day! Here are the kids
before the hunt. They
are not at all excited.
And here they are
checking out the goodies.
This is Justin and Zane
with Jeremy and Aunt
Cindy in the background.
The boys are all cousins.

Here is Jimmy and
Andrew checking out
their goodies. This is
their last year to part-
icipate as they are now
or soon to be 11 yrs old.

Here is Mike with Paige.

And again with Mundy.
Apparently he was trying
to take a pic of me while
I took a pic of them. Good
thing I'm behind the
camera!!

Here is Vance and
Anne with Paige.

And anytime our sweet
neice, MyKenna,
is around she is
usually holding Lilly.

I do have pics of the actual hunt but the kids
didn't cooperate and always had their back
to me or the sun darkened their face to much
so I decided not to add any of those!

Random shots of the boys

Easter weekend we went to
the park after getting some
yard work done. I walked as
did Jonah and Jeremy rode his
bike, Andrew his scooter. It
was an overcast day so the
weather was just right.

The boys had crazy dress up
day at school a couple of weeks
ago. Andrew decided he was
going to dress up as a girl. I
didn't think he would really do
it but sure enough he borrowed
one of my skirts and then proceeded
to put pants on his head. He didn't
make it all day. Jonah and Jeremy
didn't either with their bulges, but
they had a lot of fun putting them
together and going to school that

way.

Here are the boys one
morning that we
worked out in the yard.
We were cleaning out
all the dead stuff from
the year before. We
tend to procrastinate this
until it gets too cold to do.
Jeremy was very happy to be
out doing yard work, because
I told the boys I would do their
chores if they worked in the
yard. It can be challenging to
get out there with Lilly. He was
also happy because he had earned
MP3 time.

I recruited Andrew and Jonah, who
recruited the next door neighbors
to help crush soda cans so we could
recycle them. Jonah really had a
blast doing it.

Some of Lilly's new tricks

These are some of Lilly's new tricks. I was surprised

that she cooperated with me as she doens't usually

do on demand. This does not contain her giving me five

nor clapping (as this occured after this video). I really

don't like hearing my own voice so you will just have to

hang on through that part. I must have been pretty

shaky too, so sorry if you get motion sickness! ;)

Catching up on Lilly

Lilly has been growing by
leaps and bounds. I can't
hardly keep up with it all.
About a month and a half
ago I was laying in bed
trying to ignore Lilly's
chatter because I wasn't
quite ready to get up yet and
I look over to see her standing
in her crib. If I remember right
this was the second time we
caught her standing up. It took
her a month before she felt
comfortable doing it out in the
living room as we have the
wood laminate and she's
smacked her head many times
already. The second pic took
forever to capture because every time Lilly would carry
something in her mouth I would get the camera out and she
would quit doing it. I just think it's really cute to see her being
a little puppy.

This was taken during Easter
weekend. The boys and I got
quite a few weeds pulled that
morning so I told them we could
walk to the park that afternoon.
It was overcast so the lighting
wasn't so great as you can see in
this pic, but she just has her
adorable scrunched up face and
huge smile that I find so endearing. Had to share it.

This one you have to look at
closely, but I had just gotten her
up from a nap to see hand prints
on her face. One on her cheek and
she managed to get a second one
up above her ear. She is definately
like her brothers when they sleep
in that she sleeps all over the bed.
Lilly also is like her Dad and Andrew
in talking in her sleep. No one has ever told me I do so I don't
believe she gets it from me. Lilly has so many new tricks of late.
She's learned to wave, she apes me in laughing and coughing,
her standing up, she puts toys up over the handle of her car seat
and drops them, she recognizes object
permanence, she crawls all over the place (army crawling on our floor
& regular crawling on carpet) and this last week she picked up
clapping. Also, one time I was singing a little ditty with do-do-do's
and at the end of she said "do-do-do". Too cute!
At her last dr. appt, 9 mo, everything was good. Although she is on
the shorter side at this point. She only grew an inch in 3 mo. and is
in the 35 percentile. I'm not too worried yet, though.
I have been blessed with such a happy well behaved baby. After
watching my niece I've really come to recognize this. She's content
to play, crawl around and get into stuff 95% of the time. She
generally only gets fussy when she's pretty hungry or ready for a nap.
So far with teething she'll have a couple of rough days where she is
more clingy and then she's as good as new. I've been blessed so
completely!

Ain't she so cute?

Lilly was so tired when I was feeding her, but she was

laughing at everything so I had to record her.

Screaming Lilly

Here is a video with a little of my screaming Lilly.

Sadly she gets much louder. She even taught my

niece, that I babysit, to scream as well and my

nephew was not too happy when she woke him up

one morning. I can't blame him. It makes it tough

for a body to sleep in. Mundy is often good to come

get her, when I call him to come get her in the

mornings so I can sleep in, and a lot of time I'm not

able to because she is so loud. So mornings

like this one where I'm exhausted from getting up

nearly every hour with her I had to sleep in with a

pillow over my head. My dear Jonah enjoys yelling

and he's gotten into a bit of trouble over doing it in the

house. Now he says, "but Lilly does it". So I've had to

explain that he understands what no means and she

does not. Fun times!

New crib

I can't believe
how much my girl is
growing up. At the
beginning of this year
we had to switch her out
of the bassinett. As you
can see she is nearly head
to toe in it in this photo.

Here she is her crib. This
is actually the boys' old crib.
I had to clean some major
milk off the thing and let me
tell you that is a pain in the
rear! The crib is sportin' new
bumper pad, sheets and

blanket (thanks to Jen). She
really likes it and seems at home.
Today I had to pull down the
Christmas gifts (green photo frame
and white paper drawing) because
she had tore one of them down.
She really is into everything these
days! We decided since she is still
not sleeping through the night to set up the crib in our room for
now. If she has not figured out the sleeping through the night
thing by summer she will be learning the hard way. The lack of
sleep is really affecting my immunity and brain working abilities!
I want to wait to do it until the boys won't wake up when she is
screaming because I'm ignoring her. I'm not looking forward to it
because I still won't be able to sleep but will have to ignore her
and that will not be easy for me. If anyone has any advice I would
appreciate it!

Lilly with Andrew pulling her

Here is Andrew playing with Lilly. I have to admit

I'm a little embarrassed that you will see how messy

our desk is not to mention Lilly's stuff everywhere,

but I've learned I will just drive myself crazy worrying

about it and while she is so demanding of time I'm going

to have to deal with it. You will notice a chair in the hallway.

That is to keep her away from the cord and plug for

our wireless router. I have no idea what I'm going to do

when she gets bigger and get around it. She is into

everything these days. And sounds and noises she makes

on the video are normal everyday sounds for her. The only

one not made is where she screams, I still need to get a good

example of this. She is now nearing 8mo. She has 3 teeth and

I believe her other top one is coming in. She still wakes up

several times a night. Sometimes twice, sometimes (like

last night) she is up every hr to hr and a half. I don't like

those nights because they make me grumpy all the way

around. I believe these nights are making me prone to colds

as well as I only seem to go through a week or so without one

before another one hits. I have to apologize for not doing more

posts. Our lives have seemed very hectic of late and I've not

gotten many photo's of the kids. I will work harder on this.

Love you all!
