Finally! Christmas 2009

Please note this is first of about five posts!!!!

This Christmas we decided
to do an old fashioned type
Christmas. On our tree we
had two exceptions. One
we had a fake tree (cheaper
then buying a real one) and
two I wanted lights on there
for Lilly's sake. All the
decorations this year were
hand made from Great
Grandma Jones to each of the
boys and some from their

past years. This picture
shows to of Jonah's. He
made pieces of snow
flakes as well as a tree
out of construction paper.

This is one that Jeremy
made.

And Andrew came up
with this one. He never
ceases to amaze me...

Here we are at mom and
dad Kitchel's house. Mundy
mostly got pictures of the
back of the heads of
everybody so here are a
few side views of faces.

For those of you who
will be wondering the
guy next to Amanda is
Jamey (I can't remember
how he said it was spelled)
He and Amanda have been
dating for a little while now.

We also made each other's gifts this year. I will
have to do pictures of that later as I've not taken
them yet. We were trying to focus more on the
real reason instead of all the presents. I'm not
sure we succeeded, but there is always next year!
And now I am caught up on my posts for the year! Yeah
for me!

More Lilly!

Okay so I had to
do what nearly
every other parent
does and had to get
a bath tub picture.
She did the perfect
pose to!

Here is the first time
she tried broccoli. I
love that face especially
now that there are so
many new foods. Although
she didn't pull it with
potatoes or sweet
potatoes.

Here she is with Aunt
Kristi. Eventually I will
have a picture of her
with everybody!

Here she is hanging
out with dad. She's been
such a momma's girl
that daddy wasn't starting
to feel bad so I've been
trying to get her to stay
with him more.

We are so happy to have her in our family. It's
amazing to me how much the boys have changed
their tune. Andrew is her biggest fan always holding
her, playing with her, kissing her, etc. Jeremy
always says how much he loves having her as a
part of the family. He too will play with her and
kiss her and wants to hold her although I'm more
comfortable with it if I'm right there. Jonah is the
same way too. I do have to be with him because
he is so full of energy he doesn't sit very still and
doesn't understand how soft you have to be with
a baby. I have to say she has brought much love
and joy into our family and it's been wonderful!
I can't believe that she is now almost 6mo!
Where, oh where, does all the time go?

Snow in St. George

A couple of weeks before Christmas we woke up

to snow. I let the boys (Jonah was at a Grandpa

Kitchel's for a sleep over) take the sleds that were

left by Uncle Joe out to the field behind the house

and they went down the slopes. After doing this

video I went down with them a couple of times.

The boys had a blast but froze. They were not

happy with how cold their hands are. I remember

when I was little and had to walk home from school

(and yes it was a mile, we've measured!) My hands

would be so cold and frozen I would sob as I tried

to warm them up. The boys are so lucky to either

walk across the field or get a ride to school from

their mom.

Lilly in the bouncer

You will have to ignore my voice in this as I realized

I talked too much in it, but I wanted to show you

this cute video.

Awards

Jeremy decided that this
year he wanted to do the
story telling contest. This
is something they didn't
invite the parents too so
I didn't find out until
a couple of days after-
wards. Jeremy got first

place in his grade. He was very excited! I'm not very
surprised because this year he has become very vocal
and has quite the imagination.

Jonah was student
of the month for December.
He got an award for being
kind. It was a surprise
for him so I tried to get a
picture of his face when
they announced his name
but he didn't pull a face,
just calmly got up and went

to get it. I had to threaten him to
get one more decent pic with a
close up of his diploma. Something
about the Dutton boys and being
in first grade. They like to do their
own thing! I wonder if Lilly will
pick this up or be mellow like I
was....

I'm so very proud of these guys
and love to see them be rewarded
for their efforts!

Thanksgiving 2009

We spent this Thanks-
giving at Mundy's Aunt
Cindy's house. This is
Kimbra and Braegan.
Kimbra is Mike's girl-
friend and Braegan is her
daughter.

Kimbra is doing double
duty here holding both
Lilly and Paige.

This is Mike. He is Mundy's
cousin. He's dozin' while
he is watching a football
game.

Here are the boys. Bryan is
Kimbra's son, Justin, and Kody
who is Mike's son.

This is Aunt Cindy. She is the
one that invited us to come have
Thanksgiving. It was so yummy.
We love Aunt Cindy. She is one
awesome lady!

This is Rosy she is Cindy's
soon to be daughter-in-law.
She loves babies and often
has Lilly when we go over there.
She was even kind enough to
watch her so we could go see
New Moon yesterday! We are
so happy she will be part of the
family

Here is Mundy and Vance.
Vance is Cindy's son. The pic
is not great thanks to the
lighting, but the boys are
not to excited about picture
taking. I wasn't even able
to get Will, Rosy's soon to
be hubby.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Lot of yummy food and
wonderful family to be around. I ate way to much and have
decided after the holidays I will go on a diet and begin some
kind of excercise routine. This gut is getting larger because
I still seem to want to eat like I did when I was pregnant. I
need to find my discipline!
We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving too! Love you
all!

Jonah's assembly

I hope this works
this time. I had some
major issues and ended
up deleting the whole
thing to start over! GRR!
Here is Jonah before the
assembly dressed as
he should be.

The pic is pretty dark,
but here he is holding
the letter A. He had a
part which I was going to
record, but totally forgot
to. My memory is awful
these days!
Here is Jonah holding his
arm instead of singing. My
kids usually only pay atten-
tion half the time so they only
know half the song. As you can
see Jonah went rebel and put
his feathers on upside down.

This is Jonah's cousin Justin.
He is about a month and a half
younger then Jonah, and his
sister Paige was born about
a month and a half after Lilly.
Justin's dad, Vance, is cousins
with Mundy.

Alma did it again!

We finally got some new family pics done! Amanda's, my little sis, friend Alma did them for us. She is just starting out and I think she is going to be great some day. If she can take my wild and crazy boys and get some cute pics of us she can do anything. Here is the link to her blog to check out some new pics of the boys, Lilly and family! Thanks Alma!

Random pics

Yesterday I asked the boys
if they wanted to help with
dinner. Of course they said
yes (love youth and their
excitement for new things
even chores, too bad it
doesn't stick!) so I got out
peelers and potatoes

and they got out their
'chef hats' and went to town.
I figured they'd make a
mess so I just had them do it
on the table. Lilly supervised
and Andrew cut. They had
fun and it eased my work
load!

Here are the bracelets I
made Lilly at our ward's
craft day. Not bad for $6
and my craftiness! (?)

Here is a cute shot of Megan
and Lilly! They both have
such beautiful smiles!

Sometimes before Mundy goes
to bed he watches a movie in
bed. Sometimes Lilly hangs
out with him so I can get
caught up on things or just
have a minute of 'me' time. One
night this is what I found.

I thought this was a
cute pose

This is a face that Lilly
made for a few days. I'm
so glad we caught this pic
because I haven't seen her
make it recently. It didn't
last long. :( It's so cute!

This outfit reminds me of
the sleeper Toby wore in
Labryinth. (one of my all
time favorite movies) It's
just the girl version of it.

Dang it! I forgot to rotate
this before I put it in here.
Sorry. I just had to have
a pic of Jonah like this. We
were getting ready for church
and he came out like this.
He's getting to be quite the
little man!

Jeremy is reading the book
he brought home from
school and Jonah fell right
asleep! It must be exhausting
being a first grader!

This pic was too cute
to pass up. It's looks like
she is rasing her hand.

Andrew helped to make this
poster and helped to carry it
in the Vetern's Day parad
in Washington City.

I was going to another couple of posts but my girl
is awake now so keep checking and I'll get them
up in the next couple of days, hopefully. At least
by the end of the week.

Air show

My dad, Mundy and the
boys went down to Las
Vegas to see the air show
ate Nellis Air Force Base.
They left at 6 am and
stopped in Mesquite, NV
to have breakfast. Then

stayed until dark at the
air show. The boys nearly
fell asleep as they were
walking in the door, but
at the same time they
had plenty to say about
what they saw and did.
Here is what they had to

say about it.
Andrew said: My favorite
jet was the Thunderbird.
My favorite plane was the
B-1. I liked how the Thunder-
bird did all the amazing, cool,
aero dynamic tricks. Such as
the diamond formation even

when they when they turned and twisted. I also liked, The
Patriots did all the aero dynamic tricks. I like how the F-22
would fly vertically in the same spot. As if they were hovering.

Jeremy said: I liked when I
went in the submarine (above
pic). I liked a big plane. I liked
when I saw and F-22 raptor.
I loved it when I got a picture
of it. (They all got a grab bag
with pictures,pins etc.) It was
fun. Mostly, we didn't get to

go in the cockpits so we had to go in the body of the planes.
We went inside a helicopter (2 pictures down). I liked to play
with that big gun, I turned it around and pretended that I
was shooting it. I wish I could be in the army of the planes.
I would get to shoot big missiles. Make sure you go to this
airshow, it's mostly on weekends.

Jonah said: I liked where we
went in the plane and we got
to drive there (the show) in a
bus (shuttle). My favorite
thing was to get a magazine
from a girl and we got to
go in lots of airplanes. And

that's all!
Mundy enjoyed himself quite
a bit but the noise was a bit
much even for him. The kids
were all over the place and
to excited to listen well so that
was a bit aggravating, but
he made it through the day.
My dad vowed that Jonah was
not getting sugar from him again! Dad got to see his
favorite plane and has decided to save $300 dollars so he
can go to California and take
a ride in one one day.
Over all I think they all enjoyed
themselves despite the sun-
burns, crowds and noise.
