Dutton Halloween

Two days before Halloween
were kind of rough on Lilly.
She got her 4 month shots
and ended up with a fever
and was not feeling well at
all. Unfortunately, I missed
out on the Halloween
parade as well as the class
parties.

Here is Jeremy with his class.
He is nearly hiding behind the
desk in the bottom left of the
picture.

Here is Andrew in his
costume. Originally he
wanted to be a suicidal
doctor and then changed
his mind to be a chubby
doctor.

This is a better pic
of Jeremy's costume.
Check out that wingspan!
You can just imagine how
many kids got wapped in
the face! Our niece
Mykenna is sitting next to
him here at our ward's
trunk or treat holding my Lilly in her spider costume. I
didn't realize we didn't get a good pic of her. I'll have to
get one from my sister or aunt.

This costume was so cool,
and it's the only pic we have
of the boys together, I had
to share it. The boys' mom
Annie dressed up as pinhead
from the movie "Hell Raiser"
It was a cool costume. Her
husband Greg is dressed up
as a cowboy. Annie's costume scared the wits out of Jeremy.
He saw her car and went running over, but when he saw
her he backed off quickly. He didn't realize it was her until
he saw his stepdad. Sometimes I wish I had more of an
inclination, and more ability, to be creative and get dressed
up. Oh well. I'm just happy to be the mom!
Hope you all had a great Halloweeen!

Our trip to Monticello for the wedding..

We went to Monticello (Southeastern Utah)
for the wedding of Mundy's cousin's daughter.
(Say that five times fast!!) It was a beautiful
drive and now I wish I would have taken
more pictures. We drove through Moab and
other beautiful places to get there. We are
hoping to plan a trip next year for a week
or so we can explore all of it. It was great to
be able to meet more of Mundy's family and
to be a part of the special event! Thanks
to wonderful family who helped us get down
there.
This picture
is of, I believe,
Horse Head
Mtn. Now maybe
you artsy types
will see it right
away, but I had to
see a painting to
be able to see it.

Here I am holding Lilly
next to the heater. It
was dang cold for us
southern utahns!

These are Mundy's
cousins Jim and Tammy.
Jim was the DJ for the
event.

Here are the bride and
groom. Jessica and Avery
are a wonderful couple
and they were so happy
that day. I loved being
able to share the day
with them!

The guy in the Pink vest
is the bride's father. Mundy
and Fritz grew up together
and are quite close. They
often caused trouble together,
oh the stories I've heard! Fritz
is standing next to his wife
Sarah (the blond lady). And
she's standing next to the groom's mother. Fritz and Sarah
are outstanding people and as I've come to know them I've
grown to love them.

Here Lilly and I are standing
outside the temple waiting
for the bride and groom to
emerge. Big thanks to cousin
Melissa (Jim's wife) who
watched Lilly while I was at
the sealing!!!

This picture is pretty dark
but here is some of Mundy's
family. Standing next to
me with her back to the
camera is Melissa who is
talking to Jim's mom
Barbara (Mundy's aunt).
Jim is a little behind and
to the left of her. Two of their kids, Jimmy and Akira,
are hanging out close by and you can see Fritz in the
back left.

We are back!!!

I know it's been way too long so I determined
to get caught up Sunday. Well I was close.
It's now Tuesday, but ain't that the life of a
mother? This post is going to be all about
Lilly. I know I need to get the boys in there
because it's been too long for them too and
they are all growing up sooo big!

This is how Lilly sleeps these days. On Friday
she started rolling over from her back to her
stomach and it's showing now when she sleeps.
It's kind of funny, and kind of not, because she
has been rolling over from her stomach to her
back for a long time and now she doesn't do it
often because she's bonked her head on a harder
floor a couple of times so she's afraid to do it.
So she gets on to her stomach and then gets tired
after a little bit and starts fussing but won't roll
back over. I finally give and roll her back onto
her back only to have her be on her stomach
again in less then a minute and then she starts
fussing again. She'll do this several times in a row
so I just have to put her in the bouncer or swing.
Down below is a picture of her thumb in her mouth.
Usually she puts her pointer and middle finger in
her mouth, but lately she always has a hand or
toy in there.

I put her in the swing last night and when I
checked on her she was sideways. That kid
doesn't stop moving unless she's sleeping.
We had almost 100 pictures of her from
the last down load and maybe 15 of them
are not blurry!
For example the next to pictures of are
where she starts and then where she
ends up even with out the rolling over.

Lilly has come to really enjoy toys lately.
This green pickle with legs is one of her favorites.
It's just long enough to get one of it's legs in her
mouth! This is one of the few pictures we've
been able to get of Lilly smiling. She smiles a
ton and is even laughing now, but every time
I pull out a camera she quits or does it right
before or after the picture gets taken. Mundy
took about 20 pics in a row (most of them blurry)
and this is the only one he caught her smiling .
This is a picture of Lilly with her cousin Paige
(whom I babysit occasionally). Paige is about
a month and a half younger then Lilly. The
cool thing is that Paige's brother is about a
month and a half younger then Jonah!

Lilly has graduated from the socks on the hands
for over a month now, but I was putting them
on her at night to keep her hands warm. Then
I discovered that it didn't do much good because
she sucks on them until they are soaking wet.
She's a little drool monster!
My girl has been so much fun and she's learning
so much. She is going to be loud and make sure
she's heard. I've already received a comment
about it at church. She is truly a happy baby and
only gets fussy if she's tired or not getting her
food fast enough. And don't even think about
start feeding her and the realize she needs a
diaper change and pull her off. You've never
seen her get so angry!! I love her little laugh
that is developing. She doesn't do it often yet,
but it's not far from coming. I can't believe that
we are almost at her 4 mo. appt! I'm really
not looking forward to the shots. :( I'll
probably cry again. I hear about others that
have lost their babies to Sids or even think about
the possiblity of her dying or being stolen
(I can have a morbid imagination) and it breaks
my heart just thinking about it. I love my girl.
I love being a mommy. It's better then anything!
I'm looking forward to solid foods and crawling
(kind of).

stopped in our tracks..

It may be a little while before I can post. We are having an issue with our external hard drive and may have lost most of our pictures. :( So until Mundy gets that resolved and we have a new way of getting pictures safetly off and stored I may not post much for a little while!

Western Legends Roundup

The weekend before Labor Day weekend
Mundy, Lilly, Mom, Dad and I all went
to Kanab for their annual Western Legends
Roundup. They have old movie stars, stunt
men, etc. come and you get autographs and
pictures with them. Lilly was the star of the
show as you will see in some of these photos.
Please watch out there are actually pics of me
in here and you will see why I like to be
behind the camera....

This is their old fashioned parade they do
every year, they even had a real cattle
drive. Our batteries died so we have
to use the pictures dad got, otherwise
I would have a picture of that.
Here is a picture from a set from a
movie. You can't see Lilly well because
of the lighting, but I liked the pic of
Mundy imbibing. As you can see
mom was pretty freaked out and
wanted out of her cage.

This is a pic of Don Shanks he
played and Indian in many movies
including Last of the Mohicans and
Wind Dancer.

These are pics of us with some of these
movie guys. I have to be honest I really
didn't know any of them, but I've never
been big into westerns. The guy in the
fancy black suit was Lilly's biggest fan and
made sure to of the professional photo-
graphers got her pic that may end up
in some of their literature for future
Western Legends Roundups. The lady
holding Lilly was said to have gotten teary
eyed holding her. Unfortunatly, I missed
it as I was holding the camera and trying
to get a good picture.
We had a lot of fun and I'm sure we will go
again now that we know about it.

Sad day continued

These pj's were the first
outfit born for Lilly after
her conception. Amanda
bought yellow because
we didn't know if she was
a boy or a girl yet.

Here's Lilly with a beautiful
smile!

Here she is with bandaids on
her legs after her shots.

Here she is kicking her way
into a blur.

With one of her goofy faces
while her hands are in action.

Sad day...

Everybody has been telling me it's time for more pictures so here I go. I will do another post though tonight,if possible, as for some reason I couldn't download more pics. Lilly had her 2 month appt today. It was so sad for me (and her). She got her first set of vaccinations and I cried right along with her.
She has been so much fun lately. She talks and coos with me and others. She blows bubbles like in the pic below. When you lay her on her back she is often on the move, hence the blurry hands and feet in the pics I'm going to put on the next post. Lilly gets so many compliments about how beautiful she is and how pretty her eyes are I'm beginning to get a big head!
She's slept well the last three nights in a row, about 7 hours with one short feeding. Although, that could change tonight due to her sleeping all day today. She has gotten big and many people in the ward will say, she's gotten bigger since I saw her last week. As of today Lilly is now 11lbs and 5oz and 23" long. Doc says she's healthy and strong.
I do have to say I don't know if she does have a tooth. It has either retracted or I was deceived by the way the top part of her mouth looks. I'll keep you posted.
We will be getting family pics done, hopefully next weekend and I will give you an update on everybody else then.

Lilly with her pretty smile!

Lilly scowling, often when she
is having a bowel movement.

Lilly blowing bubbles in her sleep.

Oh My! She's growing up too fast!

In what has become a trend with my girl, she is ahead of herself on something else. Last night when I pulled her from her swing she had slober down to her shoulder. She has been blowing bubbles the last few days and slobbered enough to cause the dry skin patches where her binki sits on her chin. When I would put her on her stomach I noticed she slobbered lots too. I kept wondering if she had teeth coming in and I found one last night! It is one of her teeth on the top in the middle. I swear she's ready to catch up to her brothers already! I'm already starting to miss my baby!
Oh and apparently I being a slack off because I haven't posted enough pics of her. I'll do my best to get them up in the next few days.

Soul shots

In my blog list you will see one named soul shots. Amanda's friend Alma agreed to take some pics of Lilly for us. Of course Lilly was wide awake the whole time and ornery for most of it. I think she got some decent shots out of it though. Check it out!

A month gone by!!!

Here is my baby in her blessing
dress! I can't believe we've
already done this! Time moves
so quickly when you are having
fun ( and when you don't sleep
as well!). Lilly was blessed on
August 2nd. It was great. Mundy
was so nervous in the days leading
up to it, but he gave a wonderful
blessing. I couldn't even tell he
was nervous until he cut the

blessing a little short. It was
nice, we had our friends the
Roundy's there. As well as my
mom and dad, Daniel and
Megan, Mundy's brother
Scott his wife Heather and
their daughter Mykenna and
my cousin Richard & his wife

Annalise and their family.
Here is my girl in her bouncer
the next picture was of her
crying. She gets bored some-
times and lets us know it!

Here she is doing tummy
time. It has really helped
her to strengthen her neck
muscles which you can really
see when she's on her stomach
or when you are burping her
over your shoulder. At a little
after two weeks she also showed

us how she could roll over onto
her back. She's not much for
being on her stomach. This
picture is to show her scowl
which she often has on her
face. It's so cute! The next
picture is of her in her dress

the first day she went to
church. I was missing it and
so we just attended sacrament
meeting. Isn't she a doll?
She is ahead of herself in a
few areas. As I mentioned
she rolls over, she can also
roll from her back to her side.
From the first day she smiled. She also chuckles, usually
when she's half asleep. In her 3rd week I had her on the
bed with me while I visited with my mom and Aunt
Camilla and Mundy came in and started talking to Lilly.
She was facing my aunt Camilla and she turned her head
toward him after he started talking to her. She does this
often now. I love her bright eyes they seem so alert.
Another cute thing she does is when you put a binki
in her mouth she will often grab onto your arm or hand
with her hands. It is so cute. I can't believe how much
I love her. She is the light in my life. She has brought
much love into our home and all the boys love her, even
if they won't admit it verbally. She now weighs 9.5 lbs.
I'm not sure how long she is, but I do know I've had to
loosen her carseat straps once already and she's close
to outgrowing her newborn clothes. My baby is getting
so big. I've played with a lot of nicknames for her such
as Lil' Lilly & princess, but have landed on using punkin.
It just seems to fit unless she's screaming then I call her
fuss bucket. Interestingly, when my dad heard me call
her that he asked me where I got that. I told him I didn't
know. He said he used to call me that when I was a baby.
I wonder if I subconsciously remembered that. Do you
think it's possible?
